Nothing has officially confirmed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro—its second smartphone under the CMF sub-brand—will launch in India on April 28. Today, the company revealed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset.
Last year’s CMF Phone 1 featured the standard Dimensity 7300 chip. While initial speculation pointed toward the newer Dimensity 7400, Nothing has instead opted for the Pro variant of the 7300, delivering noticeable performance gains.
Performance Upgrades and Features
The Dimensity 7300 Pro promises a 10% boost in CPU performance and a 5% improvement in GPU performance over the previous generation. Additionally, it incorporates a 6th-gen NPU capable of 4.8 TOPS AI performance. Gamers can expect 120fps support in BGMI, a 53% increase in network efficiency, and a 1000Hz touch sampling rate for ultra-responsive controls.
Design Highlights and Customization
Earlier this week, CMF teased the phone’s display design, showcasing its slim bezels—though the bottom bezel remains under wraps. The company has also emphasized an ultra-slim, ultra-light, and ultra-sleek form factor.
A teaser image revealed a textured, tactile finish and a metallic corner with a screw, continuing the brand’s focus on customization. Just like the CMF Phone 1, the Phone 2 Pro is expected to retain its customizable back panel, along with a screw mount for attaching accessories such as a lanyard.
Other Confirmed Details
Nothing’s Co-founder and India President, Akis Evangelidis, has confirmed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will ship with a charger in the box, unlike its predecessor.
Rumors also suggest the new model will feature a slightly smaller 6.3-inch display, compared to the 6.67-inch screen found on the original Phone (1).
