In an interaction with our Editor-in-Chief, Jayanta Ghosh, Mr. Ritesh Goenka, Group Managing Director of Just Corseca discussed about product portfolio and market positioning in India.
How do you position Just Corseca in the Indian market?
We started the business in 2010, and now we have come a long way in addressing the market dynamics and the evolving customer needs. We started the brand with the vision to provide the best of breed products and solutions to Indian customers. We always aim to offer the best customer satisfaction through modern technological innovation and superb built quality at a very competitive price.
We have invested a lot in R&D. The team we have is highly experienced, who keeps improving our products in terms of technology, innovation, and design continuously. The team bundles all the qualities which one looks for in the products. We have been growing since our inception and we count ourselves as a growing brand in the market.
What is the line of products that Just Corseca has and what can we expect from the brand in near future?
We are currently operating in 5 product segments including smartwatches, speakers, earphones, headsets, and other mobile accessories. Every product of Just Corseca is associated with a specific feature and backed with 1 year of warranty. We are on the verge of launching premium smartwatches, TWS, and many other products. Do you think the smartwatch market has increased due to the Pandemic?
Technology and fitness are a great combination and due to the ongoing pandemic, everyone has become health conscious. Smartwatches offer great value as they track your heart rate, sleep, activity, and overall fitness level which is the reason I believe in the rise of the smartwatch market.
India is the fastest-growing smartwatch market, and the rise of Indian brands is giving it an added lift. With the market flourishing in India there are ample opportunities available for growth and it’s the right time to invest to take future advantage.
What is your channel strategy? Do you think the offline market has impacted due to the current pandemic?
We have a presence PAN India, and we always like to explore the new markets. Just Corseca has a good presence in tier1 cities, but as the lifestyle is evolving in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, we are also reaching out to them at the same time. We deal with our channel partners exceptionally well and extend our full cooperation to them. Our partners have had no unpleasant customer feedback and we have always had a healthy image in the market.
We have realized that post-Covid a major impact has been on the offline market, as the consumer behaviours have changed. But we are trying to guard everyone who is associated with us to the best of our capabilities. We have already started to build our offline base stronger and offer the best in both markets.
Which are the most selling products and how was the overall business in 2021?
We have been performing well in 2021. Some of the product categories that yielded maximum business are:
Smartwatches: RAY K’ANAB!S Calling Smartwatch, Stayfit J!VE Smartwatch and Sportivo Smartwatch.
Bluetooth speakers: Sushi, MuDisc, Eternia and Aquaboom portable speaker.
True Wireless Stereo (TWS): Striker, Plum Mini, Spacer and Stark.
We have gained an enormous response from our truly wireless and smartwatch categories.
What are the key priorities of Just Corseca in 2022-23?
We are coming up with a lot of innovations in the smartwatch and TWS category. We will be expanding into new markets. Both online and offline channel will be our main focus. We will come up with many exciting offers to constantly engage with new customers to not only deliver the best products but also to ensure that we are among the top players.
