boAt wraps up its community led #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt design challenge, announces winners

In a bid to fuel the industrial design movement and turn the hustle of this generation into a new age revolution, boAt, India’s #1 audio & wearable brand partnered with Yanko Design to kick-off the #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt Design Challenge. This unique endeavour enables budding designers to showcase their talent and bring forth their unique creative edge. The challenge was a part of boAt’s philosophy #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt which aims to voice how Gen-Z is hustling hard to turn its passion into a purpose.

The challenge was quite simple – All you have got to do was to render the boAt Stone 1200F Wireless Speaker in your imagination. The most creative entry had a chance to win up to INR 10,000 worth of boAt Products, a KeyShot 10 Pro license (with a free upgrade to KeyShot 11), access to offsite courses with Advanced Design and Hector Silva, and online lifetime access to Creator Club Master Classes. The contest was open and free to all and the best student entry even got an opportunity of a paid internship at boAt.

Yanko Design has been propagating the enthusiasm for industrial design globally for years now. Covering all the rage in the industrial design world inside out, Yanko has established one of the coolest platforms for designers and creative souls to find inspiration, seek unconventionality in their passion, and break the rules like a true artist.

Commenting on the successful completion of the design challenge Aman Gupta, Co-Founder and CMO, Imagine Marketing Limited said, “Design and Innovation have been at the core of boAt since inception. With #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt, boAt is becoming a bold voice for Gen-Z, a generation that is seeking a purpose in every passion. We are excited to extend this conversation to the eclectic design community through this Design challenge.”

The #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt rendering challenge was adjudged by Ayush Singh Patel – Lead Industrial Designer at boAt, Katharina Stärck – Designer & 3D Visualizer at KRB, Berlin, and Sarang Sheth – Editor in Chief at Yanko Design.

The contest received a total of 1500+ entries, 380+ final submissions and 160+ designers out of which best designers were awarded the prizes.
