Staunch India founded in 2014, has an expertise in manufacturing of mobile phones, batteries, cables, power banks and various audio accessories products. With the exponential rise in demand, the Indian market is poised to grow considerably in the next five years, around 50% of the demand is fulfilled by imports, whereas of the total local electronics production, 16 per cent is exported. The government of India is very keen to reduce electronics imports by creating a local ecosystem for electronics manufacturing.

There are many initiatives taken by the Indian government to promote localisation like, GST, Make in India, and other policies such as Preferential Market Access, have made the business environment far more appealing for local manufacturing. Campaigns such as Smart Cities and Digital India, are also boosting demand for electronics products. Also in April 2020, Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has announced many schemes to boost local manufacturing.
This has led Staunch to be a part of this localisation programme and be a part of “Make in India” campaign. Offering most of the electronics products locally which were being imported till last year.
