LG UltraGear, AMD Unveiled As Partners For INR 1,00,000 Skyesports Showdown Counter-Strike 2 Esports Tournament

Skyesports, a premier global IP builder for gaming and esports, has unveiled the Skyesports Showdown, an INR 1,00,000 open-for-all Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament. The Skyesports Showdown will be presented by LG UltraGear™, the industry-leading gaming monitors. AMD, the semiconductor manufacturer of choice by gamers will be the “Powered by” sponsors.

Registrations for the Skyesports Showdown are currently open here. Players can register with a team of at least five players and two optional substitutes to battle it out for the prestigious title.

Commenting on the exciting tournament, Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, said, “The Skyesports Showdown is another Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament which we have introduced to elevate the PC game’s esports status in India from the grassroots level. The tournament will not only enable continuous competition but also give emerging talents a platform to hone their skills as we aim to make India a major player in the global Counter-Strike esports ecosystem. All registered teams will compete in the open qualifier on May 28 and 29. The top four teams of the Open Qualifier will advance to the Playoffs, set to happen from May 31 to June 2. This stage will be livestreamed on the official Skyesports YouTube and Twitch channels for esports enthusiasts to enjoy top-notch CS2 action.

The Playoffs will see the four teams competing in a double-elimination bracket, with all games being a best-of-three.

The Skyesports Showdown will be followed by the Skyesports Championship, a $200,000 Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament featuring teams from around the world. This competition will take place from July 23 to 28 as an on-ground event in India.
