Poco launched its F4 5G recently in India as the true successor to the widely popular Poco F4 5G. The smartphone was launched as a competitor to the iQoo Neo 6 and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM, a 120Hz display, 67W fast charging, and more features. The smartphone is being sold as a premium mid-ranger and starts at a price of Rs 27,999 in India.

The Poco F4 5G comes with a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display on the smartphone is nice and smooth, but it is not an LTPO panel. Poco has used a Samsung E4 AMOLED display, which offers good colour accuracy and enough brightness to use it in all kinds of environments. The display comes with a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the flat screen for the front camera.

In terms of design, the Poco F4 5G has a flat edged design with a polycarbonate back panel that comes in two colours – Nebula Green and Black. There is a black rectangular camera module placed on the top left corner of the Poco F4 5G, and the smartphone has a subtle ‘Poco’ branding on the bottom corner of the device. The design is nice and simple, but the smartphone may be too big for some users.

Performance wise, the Poco F4 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone performs well for a daily user, and there is a lot of power for users to do all kinds of tasks smoothly. The software, however, is not the best as it uses MIUI 13, which is the same skin as Xiaomi phones, and comes with a bunch of bloatware apps, and the experience is not as smooth as other competing devices.

The Poco F4 5G has a triple rear camera setup that includes a primary 64-megapixel shooter, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Up front, the Poco F4 5G comes with a 20-megapixel selfie snapper. Photos from the Poco F4 5G are good, and the camera does not blow up colors too much, keeping the picture quality as true to life as possible.

Poco F4 5G Review Verdict

Overall, the Poco F4 5G is a very good device for its price. It offers a premium experience with a good battery and a good camera, but the build quality and software take away from that premium experience a little bit.
