Q Tell us about your collaboration with major brands and how it affects your business?

Our strong association with Microsoft, Nokia, Oppo, Realme, One Plus, Motorola and other major brands across the industry has helped us to position ourselves favourably in the Indian market. Our relationship with operators like Airtel, Vi, Jio, TataSky; audio giants like Bose, JBL, Sony, Harman Kardon, Saregama and other major brands, as well as Gaming Devices like Xbox and Sony Play Stations along with consumer durable, electronic products and smart gadgets from Google, FitBit, Garmin have helped “BHAJANLAL” reach a large network channel across India within a period of two decades, and we are expanding to new markets in West Bengal and North East at a very fast pace.

Q The last 18 months due to pandemic have been challenging. How has it impacted the distribution business?

Yes, it has been a difficult situation, but as the saying goes “there is an opportunity lurking in every adversity.” We firmly believe in the saying and that showed returns as well. As the workplaces and education shifted from offline to online the system of “Work from home” saw a new light that increased the demand of telecom products.

Q As more and more distribution houses are looking for online transition, what’s your take on this?

Our company’s deep understanding of the ever-evolving industry and consumer preference in India resulted in making “BHAJANLAL” a top-class multi-brand retail chain with several retail outlets spread across Kolkata, Meghalaya and Assam. Going by the flow, we support the trend but with demand of equal rights for the mainline retailers as well.

Q As you are one of the pioneers in the eastern market, your thoughts on overall smartphone and accessories market opportunities and challenges

Overall, the market is growing with evolution of new technologies and introduction of new brands. Challenges are there, but nothing can beat dedication and hard work. Remember, every cloud has a silver lining
