Xiaomi, India’s ‘Most Trusted Smartphone Brand’ and the second ‘Most Trusted Brand’, got into flagship mode by launching top of the line products across three different categories. It redefined flagship phones with the launch of the showstopping, sharp shooting and hyper fast charging, Xiaomi 12 Pro. The brand also marked its return to the tablet market with the Xiaomi Pad 5, and added a new dimension to its smart TV series by introducing its most premium TV offering yet, the Xiaomi OLED Vision 55. Also unveiled was the successor to its bestselling smart television series by introducing the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series.

“Since its arrival in 2014, Xiaomi has woven itself into the fabric of India. We started out as a brand that would have been delighted to sell a few thousand phones. Today, thanks to the faith our consumers and our fans have shown in us, Xiaomi is not just the country’s leading brand in smartphones and smart TVs, but is a household name,” said Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Xiaomi India. “Today marks another chapter in our journey, as we bring the best we can offer to our users, across different product categories. The show stopping Xiaomi 12 Pro, the insanely versatile Xiaomi Pad 5 and the dazzling Xiaomi OLED Vision TV are not only top of the line products but represent our commitment to bring our best to the Indian market, without any compromises, across different price points.”

Leading the launches was the Showstopper, the Xiaomi 12 Pro. “A showstopper excels in every aspect possible; it is leading and stands tall as the best there could be. And Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G embodies all of this,” said Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer. “With the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G we relooked at every single aspect of a smartphone. We didn’t want to let things be as they were, so we revisualized everything from the design, display, to charging, and multimedia. On top of that we built the most consistent camera experience ever found on a smartphone”

The result is a device that will not just turn heads with its sleek and classy design with a velvet matte finish made up of microcrystalline structures but will also set benchmarks with its performance. The Xiaomi 12 Pro sports a sleek, comfortable to hold form factor with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and metal camera enclosure that gives the phone an entirely distinct and yet refined appearance.

It comes with a brilliant 17.09 cm 2K+ AMOLED display, which can produce more than a billion colours and has a peak brightness of 1500 nits, even while consuming less power than the previous generation of displays. Ensuring scrolling graphics remain smooth, while optimising battery power, Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which changes as per the content being displayed on it.

India’s first and only 50MP + 50MP + 50MP Flagship Camera setup on the back ensures that no matter which camera you use – the wide, the ultrawide or the telephoto – stunning images and videos are assured. The cameras on the Xiaomi 12 Pro also come with Xiaomi’s Pro Focus prowess which includes Motion Tracking Focus, Motion Capture Focus and Eye Tracking Focus to ensure that what you are shooting stays in sharp focus. Low light photography gets a revolutionary boost with Ultra Night Photo and Ultra Night Video modes, which capture rich details and colour without violating the shades of the night. A 32-megapixel selfie camera delivers fantastic vanity shots.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro also redefines audio, thanks to the first quad speaker setup seen on a flagship in the current Indian market. Tuned by Harman Kardon, these speakers deliver the kind of sound you would expect from standalone speakers, making this beautiful device a veritable multimedia beast.

Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the leading mobile processor of the day, the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 8 Generation 1, making it capable of handling any and every task that is assigned to it. It runs on the feature rich MIUI 13 interface on the top of Android 12, the latest version of the OS. Xiaomi’s legendary 120W HyperCharge, accompanied by a 120W charger in the box, ensures that the 4500 mAh battery in the Xiaomi 12 Pro gets topped in a mere 18 minutes. There is also support for 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.

This combination of stunning looks, super sharp shooting cameras, the latest processor, insanely fast charging battery and amazing sight and sound make the Xiaomi 12 Pro the ultimate flagship showstopper.

The event also marked the return of Xiaomi to the tablet market. Eight years after redefining budget tablets with the Mi Pad, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Pad 5. The tablet is targeted at those who want a device that performs at notebook levels while retaining the convenience and portability of the tablet form factor. “The pandemic has made many of us realise the need to have additional screens both at home and work,” said Sumit Sonal, Product Marketing Head – Xiaomi, Xiaomi India. “People are relying more on screens to get work done – be it work commitments, video calls or attending online classes. And this is set to continue. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is the perfect tablet for those who want it all in one single device – the convenience of touch and the power of a notebook, when needed.”

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is designed to handle everything from education to entertainment to productivity and gaming. Its brilliant 27.8cm display with 2.5 K+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and a quad speaker arrangement make it the perfect device to watch content on, whether it is an online class, a show or simply a YouTube video. The presence of a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 860 processor makes the tablet a gaming and multimedia master, enabling users to play high-definition games and even edit videos. With the Xiaomi Pad 5, we have completely reimagined the MIUI for pads to multi-task. The new MIUI makes Xiaomi Pad 5 a breeze to use and even unlock different usage possibilities. Those who want to do even more with the device have the option to get Xiaomi’s Smart Pen stylus and keyboard which can convert the tablet into a sketching canvas or a notepad, depending on their inclination.

Xiaomi also added a new dimension to its TV portfolio, by introducing the OLED Vision 55 TV. “We continue to enjoy the love and trust of our 7 million customers and our rising to the top position in the Indian smart TV market has been one of our proudest achievements,” said Sudeep Sahu, Senior Product Manager – TVs, Xiaomi India. “The OLED Vision 55 TV takes the consumer experience to another level, with its amazing colours, brightness and sound. OLED TVs are the most premium TVs in the market today. By venturing into this category, we are not only reaffirming our commitment to bring our best to our consumers but also strengthening our positioning as a leading TV brand in the country,” said Sudeep Sahu. The sleekly designed 55-inch 4K OLED TV comes with a stunning display with self-lit pixels and best in class eight speaker setup, bringing perfection in vision along with the goodness of IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision® IQ. Xiaomi’s Patchwall interface makes navigating channels and content on it smooth as silk.

Rounding off the launches was the arrival of the Smart TV 5A, the successor to Xiaomi’s most loved smart TV series, the 4A series. The Smart TV 5A television series comes with a premium bezel-less design in three size variants – 32 inches, 40 inches and 43 inches, all powered by the Vivid Picture Engine that optimizes color contrast and various aspects of display to give top notch picture quality. All three televisions come with Dolby Audio and the 40-inch and 43-inch variants also come with DTS X, the most premium audio technology from DTS, a category first.
