Onsitego, India’s largest after-sales service provider announced their investment in DIGI2L, a digital platform that enables the sale and exchange of used electronics and appliances. DIGI2L, a Mumbai-based startup which belongs to the same industry that has big tech-enabled players like Cashify and Yaantra, will use the funds to expand operations, build brand awareness and scale up their technology platform across India. Accel-backed Onsitego offers extended warranty, damage protection, AMC Plans, and on-demand repair services for all electronic devices and home appliances. The investment in DIGI2L will help strengthen the brand’s positioning as a one-stop shop for their customers across the entire device life cycle.

Founded in 2021 by Alok Mathur and Tarun Bhardwaj, DIGI2L connects customers and vendors to provide hassle-free experience of selling used appliances. It offers free quality check and doorstep pick up. Each year approximately 6 crore large appliances including televisions are sold in India with a potential for exchange of around 25% of this volume. The market is currently unorganized, leaving consumers with no option to get a fair price for their old appliances.
Talking about the opportunity, Alok Mathur, Co-founder, DIGI2L said, “With fast changing technologies in consumer electronics, consumers would like to follow the latest trends. However, they are forced to use their existing appliances for longer as they don’t get a good price for their products. This is where DIGI2L can bring value to both the consumers and resellers, by connecting them directly on the DIGI2L platform. Now, for the first time in India, we have launched Assured Buyback on new appliances. This plan offers a pre-determined buyback price for up to 5 years.”
