Consumers opt for Smart Monsoon Appliances ahead of the rains

With the onset of Monsoons, the demand for washing machines with intelligent features has increased as customers look to save on time and enhance productivity. With intelligent features such as in-built water heater, hard water wash, zero pressure fill technology, consumers across the country are increasingly preferring to upgrade to Smart appliances to suit their lifestyles.

According to insights from Flipkart, the demand for washing machines with intelligent features has doubled in the last 6 months compared to the same period last year. While metros and tier-1 cities were the initial adopters, it’s the tier-3 and beyond cities such as Godavari, Chitoor, Anantapur and Muzaffarpur, which are seeing increased customer demand. To serve these customers with relevant products, Flipkart is making available a vast selection of more than 450 different types of washing machines from various brands to choose from. Companies like IFB, Samsung, Whirlpool & Bosch and LG among many others are making available their new range of washing machines with intelligent features to meet the evolving demands of customers.

These are deliverable across 100% of the serviceable pincodes at the customers’ doorstep coupled with installation services, which has been a post-purchase pain point for this segment.

Anticipating the growing demand for intelligent appliances, several brands have launched new products with innovative features which is finding an increasing number of takers across geographies. Today Flipkart offers a wide selection of consumer appliances and durables to the tune of nearly 20,000 products across several product segments.
