Realme has struck gold again with its latest offering, the Realme 11 Series 5G. Comprising the Realme 11 and 11x, these smartphones combine sleek design, impressive performance, and a budget-friendly price tag. Let’s dive into the details.

Design: Aesthetically Pleasing and Ergonomic

The Realme 11 and 11x showcase an eye-catching design that’s sure to turn heads. The Glory Gold and Purple Dawn versions, in particular, exude elegance and style. The rear panels feature an iridescent and glittery finish that adds to their charm. Although the camera module is sizeable, it serves a practical purpose, making typing on flat surfaces effortless.

These devices sport flat edges and curved corners, ensuring a comfortable and ergonomic grip. Despite housing a substantial 5,000mAh battery, they remain impressively lightweight at just 190 grams.

Connectivity and Fingerprint Scanner

Both smartphones offer convenient connectivity with a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. The fingerprint scanner is cleverly integrated into the power button on the right side, providing swift and secure unlocking.

Display: Vibrant Visuals with Room for Improvement

The Realme 11 and 11x feature 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD displays that surprisingly deliver good visual quality despite being LCD panels. The images are sharp and true to life, with decent viewing angles. The adaptive 120Hz refresh rate enhances gaming and reading experiences.

While the display is respectable, noticeable bezels, especially on the chin, might bother some users. Additionally, outdoor visibility might be challenging under direct sunlight despite the displays offering up to 550 nits peak brightness.

Camera: Capable Performers

Both smartphones boast a dual rear camera setup, with differences in primary sensors. The Realme 11x features a 64MP main shooter, while the Realme 11 steps it up with a 108MP camera. Both phones share a 2MP depth sensor. In well-lit conditions, both excel in quick focus and shutter speed, producing pleasing images. However, colors might appear slightly oversaturated.

The Realme 11’s larger sensor gives it an edge in detail, particularly in low-light scenarios. The Realme 11x’s images in dimly lit environments tend to appear grainy, while the Realme 11 maintains superior details. The portrait mode could benefit from improved edge detection.

Performance and Software Experience

Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, which handles everyday tasks with ease. They are proficient at multitasking but might experience occasional slowdowns with numerous background apps.

Gaming performance is commendable, with the phones handling graphically demanding games well for short periods. Both phones run on Android 13-based Realme UI 4 out of the box, offering customization options but also displaying ads and push notifications.

Battery and Charging: Reliable and Efficient

The Realme 11’s 5000mAh battery ensures all-day usage for moderate users. It charges swiftly with the included 67W charger, taking around 50 minutes for a full charge.

The Realme 11x, with its 5000mAh battery, comfortably lasts a day with regular usage. The 33W SuperVOOC adapter, while not the fastest, charges the phone efficiently, taking about 75 minutes for a full charge.

Ample Storage and 5G Capability

In addition to their impressive performance, the Realme 11 Series 5G smartphones offer generous storage options. The Realme 11x comes in two configurations: 6GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of storage.

On the other hand, the standard Realme 11 provides a single RAM option, which is 8GB. However, you have the flexibility to choose between 128GB and 256GB of storage to suit your needs.

While the RAM itself isn’t expandable, both phones feature a dedicated microSD card slot, allowing you to expand your storage further. This ensures that you have plenty of space for apps, photos, videos, and more.

Moreover, it’s worth highlighting that both these smartphones are 5G capable, ensuring that you stay connected at high speeds for fast data downloads and smooth browsing. The combination of ample storage and 5G capability makes the Realme 11 Series 5G a compelling choice for users who demand both performance and storage flexibility.

Verdict: Budget-Friendly Excellence

The Realme 11 Series 5G offers budget-conscious consumers an enticing package. With competitive pricing, solid performance, and respectable camera capabilities, these smartphones are excellent choices for those looking for value without compromising on key features.
