Samsung Showcases Cutting-Edge ‘Galaxy AI’ Features to Indian Prime Minister Modi at UP Summit

In a significant display of technological advancement and strategic partnership, Samsung, the global tech leader, unveiled its latest ‘Galaxy AI’ features to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the UP Global Investors’ Summit 2023. The demonstration took place during the Ground Breaking Ceremony 4.0 (GBC 4.0) in Uttar Pradesh, underscoring Samsung’s commitment to innovation and its long-standing relationship with India.

The meeting between Prime Minister Modi and J.B. Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, showcased the remarkable capabilities of ‘Galaxy AI’, a suite of cutting-edge artificial intelligence features integrated into Samsung’s flagship smartphones. Among the standout features presented was ‘Live Translate’, enabling seamless real-time voice and text translations within phone calls through the native app, promising to revolutionize communication on mobile devices.

Highlighting Samsung’s substantial investment in India, Park discussed the company’s impressive 28-year journey in Noida, where it operates the world’s largest mobile factory. Prime Minister Modi had inaugurated this facility in 2018, solidifying India’s position as a key manufacturing hub for Samsung. Additionally, Park emphasized the crucial role of Samsung’s Noida manufacturing plant and two R&D centers in driving technological innovation and economic growth in the region.

The collaborative efforts of Samsung R&D Institute India – Bangalore (SRI-B), the company’s largest software R&D center outside South Korea, with other global R&D centers such as Samsung Research America (SRA), were highlighted.
