Tecno, a smartphone brand, has recently launched its first foldable phone in India called the Phantom V Fold. This device competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 as it is the only other horizontally foldable phone available in the Indian market. The Tecno Phantom V Fold is priced at less than Rs 90,000, making it the cheapest foldable phone in the country, and is being offered at a lower price during its launch. The phone comes with a two-year warranty, free trolley bag, and a protective case with a stand.
The phone features a 6.42-inch outer AMOLED display and a 7.65-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED foldable display. It has a triple camera setup at the back and a 32-megapixel camera on the outer screen. The Tecno Phantom V Fold is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000+ chipset and has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
Although the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is priced significantly higher at Rs 1,54,998, it remains to be seen if the Tecno Phantom V Fold can deliver a similar level of experience. The phone has a smooth folding experience due to its aerospace-grade innovative drop-shaped hinge, fixed-axis rotate and slide tech, and reverse snap structure. However, the Tecno Phantom V Fold’s chipset, charging technology, and battery differ from the Samsung device.
