Telecom SSC launches the first North East Mobile Phone Institute at Guwahati, Assam

The Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), India’s premier skill development institution for telecom, inaugurated a Centre of Excellence in Guwahati to train youth in handheld device repair in Association with Britco & Bridco, the Pioneer Mobile Phone Institute in India. The inauguration was graced by the chief guest Shri Jayanta Mallabaruah, (Hon’ble Minister of Public health Engineering, Tourism, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Assam) who praised the efforts of TSSC, citing the growing economy of Assam and its growing contribution to the Indian economy.

Students who are 12th pass or Degree completed students can join the four-month course to get easy employment in mobile phone repairing and entrepreneurship in smartphone, robotics, metaverse, AI and other futuristic technologies in India and abroad. The CoE will cater to roles in handheld device repair with focus on international placements in Middle East and Africa. The CoE will also host train the trainer and assessor programs for certifying trainers and assessors.

TSSC will support Britco & Bridco in creating strategic partnerships for international placements. This centre will also serve as an adequate facility for Industrial Training for B. Tech/ Diploma/ Certificate courses. The lab setup will cater to high-end courses in device repair technology.

Britco & Bridco will host the lab setup and all equipment necessary for the training. The paid programs will be run by Britco & Bridco at the centre which will act as a hub for regional students to upskill themselves in advance handheld device repair training.
