Vivo TWS 2 ANC is the manufacturer’s latest offering. The Vivo TWS 2 ANC comes as the company’s premium true wireless earphones category, and has been launched in India at a price of Rs 5,999. But what do you get for Rs 5,999? We’ll tell you.
Now, from the looks, the Vivo TWS 2 ANC looks very similar to the AirPods Pro. They come with a similar designed charging case, and have very similar shape for the earbuds themselves also. The Vivo TWS 2 ANC comes in two colour options – Moonlight White and Starry Blue. For our review, we got the Starry Blue colour, which looks good but is way too glossy and is a huge fingerprint and scratches magnet. The earphones are super lightweight and are comfortable to wear with the silicone eartip. Wearing the Vivo TWS 2 ANC for even three to four hours is a comfortable experience, and it almost feels like you are not wearing anything even after hours of usage.
The earphones come with premium features like Active Noise Cancellation, which cancels out noises of up to 40 decibels. The noise cancellation on the Vivo TWS 2 ANC works very well. There is also a transparency mode that lets the audio pass through via the dual microphones.
Vivo also has a feature called Deep-HD audio, which increases transmission bandwidth by double of any standard Bluetooth product, and increases data transmission by 50 percent. The Vivo TWS 2 ANC earphones also have 12.2mm drivers that deliver “super strong bass.”
With all the features in place, the Vivo TWS 2 ANC has a decent audio quality. The audio is not bass heavy, and is very balanced in the mids and lows. But if you want to enhance the bass on the Vivo TWS 2 ANC, you can do so by going into the Vivo TWS app.
Each earbud of the Vivo TWS 2 ANC comes with two microphones – one dual beam-forming mic, and another in-built microphone for audio and video calls. In transparency mode, the mic does a good job in putting the ambient sound through, and even during calls and video calls, the Vivo TWS 2 ANC did not give us any issues with getting our voice through.
The Vivo TWS 2 ANC are a good set of earphones, packed with features and offer decent build quality. The design is similar to the Apple AirPods Pro, just a bit too glossy for the Starry Blue color, making it prone to scratches and fingerprints. The earphones are super lightweight and wearing them is a comfortable experience, even if you use these earphones for hours on end. The sound quality is decent, but not the best we have seen in this segment. The mic performs well, and all in all it is a decent set of TWS earphones for Rs 5,999. The build quality, however, does not feel good and the earphones do not feel very sturdy in your hands or in your ear.
Vivo TWS 2 ANC Review Verdict
At the price of Rs 5,999, the Vivo TWS 2 ANC promises a lot on paper and gets the job done. While the audio quality and noise cancellation are quite pleasing, Vivo will face problems in establishing itself in the TWS segment as there are already enough brands offering the same set of features for a competitive price and similar design.
